This is a museum quality reproduction of a US Marine Corp. Enlisted Music Collar insignia worn instead of the EGA insignia this came from a 1915 Bandsmen uniform made in sterling silver with a heavy 24k gold plate. The back of the insignia is hallmarked

This badge is much heavier than most of the EGAs of the period. WWI insignia is very hard to find. USMC band insignia is even harder, after all how bands did the Marine Corp. have back then. Here is an excellent example of this insignia, with sterling hallmark, that is affordable until a real one comes along.
