Christian P. Engeldrum, the first FDNY firefighter to die in Iraq. A New York City firefighter who had responded to the World Trade Center attack. Assigned to 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment, New York Army National Guard, New York City; killed Nov. 29, 2004, when his military vehicle struck an improvised explosive device in Baghdad.
