Very rare GERMAN WW2 BALKAN SHIELD badge, 1944

VERY rare combat shield. 250 were issued.  This Balkan shield has some wear.

That shield was given only a few hundreds. And for today historical are have a discussed – did that shield had given to soldiers or not. That’s why some catalogues does not have that item. As founded.

This shield was to be presented to the German forces fighting against the Red Army and the partisans in the Balkan 1944 and 1945.
