From 1946 to 1969 Paul served this great country of ours. His story is like the story of thousands of brave men who fought in battles and wars. It is nothing new, as men have done it since the beginning of time and will continue to do it long after all of us our long gone. However, this American Hero is different, this Solider, Airborne Paratrooper, 8240th Commando, Air National Guard Pilot, Special Forces Medic and MACV SOG Intelligence is my Father. A True American Hero.
I asked if there was anything for the United States role in the invasion of the Dominican Republic 1965. At that time there wasn't , but I contacted the owner and he said they would look into it.
There is now a Operation Power Pack patch, 1965-1966. 82nd Airborne Division was present there for over a year. During the Invasion there were 44 KIA. This event was over shadowed by the Vietnam War.
